We compensate you based on relevant factors, such as your job responsibilities, experience and performance. Year over year, we hold ourselves to a high standard to ensure our pay practices are fair and equitable.
Compensation
In support of transparency, we post base salary ranges on our job openings across the United States. In addition to offering a highly competitive base salary, we give two annual bonuses to our associates. The first is based solely on performance and the second is based on company profitability as well.
These two bonuses, your annual base salary and our 15% retirement contribution* add up to so much more than a simple paycheck. With a strong performance over time, you’ll have the opportunity to see your total compensation not only grow, but grow exponentially.
Retirement
Every year, we provide the equivalent of 15%* of your eligible compensation,** which includes your salary and bonuses, toward your retirement.
To be clear, that’s not money you’ve chosen to deduct from your paycheck.
That’s in addition to your paycheck.

Additional financial health benefits
401(k) and other plans In addition to our 15% retirement benefit, we offer a 401(k) in our U.S. offices and similar plans in our global offices.
Student loan reimbursement and education assistance Eligible associates in our U.S. offices can receive a $200 monthly payment toward their student loan balance.
Tuition reimbursement Associates who pursue professional designations or degrees can receive tuition assistance.
Financial education We offer premier and personalized financial education through digital tools and seminars.
Life, accident and travel insurance We sponsor life insurance, personal accident and business travel insurance, and also offer additional life insurance.

We offer a number of inclusive benefits to support our associates as they create, expand and care for their families.
Paid parental leave We provide competitive paid parental leave for associates welcoming a child through birth, adoption, surrogacy or foster care placement. In addition, expecting associates are eligible for paid pregnancy leave.
Parental transition schedule Our parental transition schedule enables new parents to ease back to work by starting out with a reduced workweek prior to returning full time.
Hormonal health, fertility and family building With select health insurance plans, associates receive comprehensive fertility coverage for all types of families, including in vitro fertilization and egg freezing. Additionally, resources for pregnancy, both pre-partum and post-partum, as well as menopause support, are available.
Adoption/surrogacy assistance Associates are eligible to receive generous financial assistance per adoption or surrogacy.
Childcare, tutoring and eldercare support We offer subsidized rates for backup childcare and eldercare. Associates also have access to virtual academic tutoring for children through age 18.
Scholarship program Eligible associates can apply for financial assistance for their children’s undergraduate education.

At Capital Group, you and your family can choose from a wide range of mental health resources.
Mental health resources
Time off Access to paid vacation, sick leave and company holidays begins on day one. We also offer paid time off for military leave, jury duty and bereavement leave.
Comprehensive, personalized support Associates and their dependents are eligible for a variety of personalized care options, including up to 12 free therapy sessions annually.
Current events support We provide sessions to address timely sources of stress, including critical world events and political anxiety.
Individual and small-group support Associates have access to providers of one-on-one and small-group healing support sessions addressing individual life experiences.
Mindfulness Our Capital Wellness program offers a variety of partnerships with a variety of digital apps for resilience, mindfulness and fitness. In certain locations, access to free gyms, studios and personal fitness trainers are available for associates.

SOCIAL WELLNESS
Give more to the causes you care about
In 2022, our associates donated their time and resources to more than 4,200 nonprofits around the world. We provide additional funding in the form of grants and matching gifts.
Associate involvement grants Associates who are involved with an eligible nonprofit can apply for a grant to support their favorite cause.
Associate matching gifts We match our associates’ eligible charitable gifts at a 2:1 ratio, up to a total of US$5,000 (or their local currency equivalent) per fiscal year.
Volunteer Rewards For each hour our associates volunteer, up to a 50-hour maximum per fiscal year, they receive US$10 deposited into a Giving Account. Those funds can then be used to make donations to eligible nonprofits.
Equity & Justice Donation Associates can make one donation from Capital Group per fiscal year to an eligible charity of their choice that advances equity and/or justice.
Milestone Anniversary Donation For every fifth-year anniversary with Capital Group, we make a donation on our associate’s behalf to an eligible charity of their choice.
New Associate Donation New associates can direct a US$250 (or local currency equivalent) donation from Capital Group to an eligible charity of their choice.
