The Client Accounts section of our website offers a secure, convenient way to complete transactions on accounts held directly at Capital Group.
First, access a client’s account by entering their name, account number or BIN in the Client Search. If your client has multiple accounts, you’ll need to select the appropriate account from the Account Summary. From there, use the buttons to the right of the account’s registration to start your transaction. Once selected, you’ll be guided through a simple step-by-step process to complete your request. In this demonstration, we’ll withdraw money from a traditional IRA.
In step 1, enter the distribution amount. You can specify a dollar amount and fund or provide a total amount and select to split by the account’s current allocation or split evenly. Since this is a retirement account, step 2 will prompt you to make tax withholding elections. You’ll choose whether the distribution should be net or gross, and the system will display both the estimated total amount to be distributed and the amount the client will receive. In step 3, you’ll choose the payment method: the options include receiving a check via regular mail or expedited delivery or, if bank information is already on file, ACH bank deposit.
Before submitting any transaction in Client Accounts, you’ll be asked to review and confirm your selections. If you need to make changes, simply use the "Edit" button. When everything is correct, select "Submit" to complete the transaction. Once the transaction is submitted, a confirmation screen displays the trade date that your transaction will be processed on, plus the transaction details. A confirmation will also be sent to your client. When you return to your client’s Account Summary, you’ll notice an alert of the pending withdrawal.
