Many broker-dealers offer fee-based programs that allow investors to purchase mutual funds for an annual asset-based fee, instead of paying commissions or sales charges. Class F-2 and F-3 shares are used in fee-based programs at most broker-dealers.
Class F-2 and F-3 shares do not have an upfront or contingent deferred sales charge.
Class F-2 shares do not include a 12b-1 fee but are subject to sub-transfer agency fees. Class F-3 shares do not include 12b-1 or sub-transfer agency fees. You can find expenses for individual funds on the Returns page for F-2 and F-3. These expenses will vary among the funds.
For many investors, especially those with significant account balances, Class A and A-2 shares are the most cost-effective purchase option. Class A and A-2 shares are available in retail accounts, IRAs and certain retirement plans.
Class A and A-2 shares are sold with a sales charge upfront. The sales charge is reduced for larger purchases and account values. Find out more about reducing the sales charge.
Footnotes:
†A 0.75% contingent deferred sales charge may be assessed on redemptions within 18 months of purchase.
‡A 1.00% contingent deferred sales charge may be assessed on redemptions within 12 months of purchase.
You can find expenses for individual funds on the returns page for A shares and A-2 shares.
Class R-6 shares are available to 401 (k), 403(b), 457, deferred compensation, defined benefit, money purchase pension and profit-sharing retirement plans that require recordkeeping and administrative services. They are not available in retail accounts, IRAs, SEPs or SIMPLE IRAs.

The minimum amount to establish an account for most share classes is typically $1,000 for each fund, and the minimum subsequent investment is $50. For accounts with Class F-3 shares held and serviced by the Fund's transfer agency, the minimum investment amount is $1 million.
Except with respect to Class A-2 shares or as otherwise described in the prospectus, shares of Capital Group KKR Public-Private+ Funds ("PPS Funds") may be exchanged for shares of the same class of other PPS Funds or the American Funds without a sales charge. Class A-2 shares may be exchanged only for the same class of shares of other PPS Funds (but not the American Funds) without a sales charge, unless provided otherwise by a financial intermediary. In addition, subject to any restrictions imposed by a financial intermediary, Class A shares or Class A-2 shares of other PPS Funds or American Funds may be exchanged without a sales charge. Any such exchanges shall be permitted only in connection with the Fund's periodic repurchase offers.
When determining contingent deferred sales charges, the length of time that shares have been owned is measured from the date of original purchase and is not affected by exchanges.
Under certain circumstances, an investor may move from one share class to another. Fund prospectuses and statements of additional information contain more information.
Exchange privileges are subject to change or termination.
Generally, distributions paid by one fund may be cross-reinvested into another fund of the same share class. Investors must have at least $5,000 invested in the fund from which distributions are paid or have met the minimum initial investment requirement for the receiving fund. Cross-reinvestments from the American Funds U.S. Government Money Market Fund into other funds may be subject to the appropriate sales charge.
